Backing Asset Custody

Stabolut utilizes institutional-grade custodians and Off-Exchange Settlement (OES) networks.

OES (Off-Exchange Settlement)​

Instead of depositing assets directly onto an exchange (where they are at risk of exchange insolvency), assets are held in a Multi-Party Computation (MPC) wallet controlled by a custodian (e.g., Copper, Fireblocks).

  • Mirroring: The exchange reflects the balance in the OES wallet for trading.
  • Settlement: PnL is settled periodically (e.g., every 4 hours) between the exchange and the custodian.
  • Security: Assets remain in cold storage and are bankruptcy-remote from the exchange.
